Tap the download icon in the toolbar at the top of any recipe screen. Give it a name — the app defaults to the chocolate type and cocoa content if you leave it blank. Saved recipes appear in the Recipes tab. Free plan supports up to 3 saved recipes; Pro and Pro+ are unlimited.

The padlock icon indicates a built-in ingredient from the ChocoForm library. Built-in ingredients can't be edited to ensure calculation integrity — but you can duplicate any of them (swipe left → Duplicate) and edit the copy freely. Custom ingredients you add yourself are always fully editable.

Apple Intelligence is Apple's on-device AI, available to all ChocoForm users at no charge. It runs entirely on your device — nothing leaves your phone or Mac. It handles general questions and recipe suggestions well but has no real-time knowledge of your specific ingredient library.

Claude Sonnet 4.6 is a cloud AI from Anthropic, available to Pro+ subscribers (monthly quota shown in the app). It's more capable for complex formulation questions, can access your library ingredients by name, and handles multi-step reasoning better. Requests go through a privacy-preserving proxy — we never see the content.

Open any saved recipe and tap the PDF icon in the toolbar. You can add your logo in Settings → Branding before exporting. The PDF includes the full ingredient list, composition chart, nutrition table, and three QR codes. PDF export requires a Pro or Pro+ subscription.

Shelf life is estimated from the calculated water activity (Aw) using the Norrish model. The app assumes standard storage conditions (15–18 °C, no temperature abuse, airtight packaging). The estimate is a professional starting point — always confirm with real-time microbiological testing before commercial production, especially for products with Aw above 0.85.

Yes. Enable iCloud sync in Settings → Storage. Your recipes are stored in your personal iCloud account using CloudKit and sync automatically across all devices signed in with the same Apple ID. iCloud sync requires a Pro or Pro+ subscription.

Go to the Ingredients tab → tap + → Search USDA FDC. Type the ingredient name — the app queries the USDA public database in real time. Tap any result to preview its nutritional profile, then tap Import to add it to your library. You can edit any imported ingredient after import.

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. To cancel: open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad → tap your name → Subscriptions → ChocoForm → Cancel Subscription. On Mac: App Store → your name → Account Settings → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.
